Sambal Petai Udang

This is a delicious dish with white rice. It's a Malaysian favourite dish among all races be it Chinese, Malaysia, Indian, Kadazan and Ibans. Some may not like the pungent parkia but try taking them will benefit you. It is known to be a good cleanser for urinary system.

Really, delicious and I was so tempted to post it in my blog as collections if I need them to cook to pamper my food urge. Meanwhile, my bleoved readers too can share this recipe. Do share with me if you really try this recipe. I am sure you will like it.

Sambal Petai Udang

Bahan-Bahan Ingredients
1 ikat petai (dibuang kulit) - 1 bundle of Parkia speciosa, (skin peeled)
300g udang basah (dibuang kulit)- 300 gm shelled prawns
minyak masak (untuk menumis) - 2 tbsp cooking oil
Bahan kisar: Blended Ingredients
10 biji cili besar 10 red chillies
½ biji tomato 1/2 tomato
2 biji bawang besar 2 large onions
garam 1/2 tsp salt
sedikit serbuk perasa (ajinomoto) 1 tsp flavour powder (ajinomoto)

Cara Penyediaan Cooking Method
  1. Kisarkan cili,bawang dan tomato. Blend chillies, onions and tomato.
  2. Panaskan minyak masak kemudian tumiskan bahan kisar, tambah sekali garam dan ajinomoto secukup rasa. Heat up oil and saute blended ingredients, add in salt and ajinomoto.
  3. Tumiskan dengan api sederhana hingga terbit minyak. Saute with low heat till oil arouse
  4. Kemudian masukkan udang basah dan petai yang dibuang kulit. Then, add in prawns and parkia.
  5. Tunggu sebentar hingga masak, angkat dan hidangkan. Wait till cooked, scoop onto plate and serve
