Baked savoury mooncake with century egg

Mooncake Festival is coming soon. It is originally called Mid-Autumn Festival. Mooncake is the food for this festival celebration while Lantern are used to brighten up the house on the day of family gathering. Today, most people will called it Mooncake or Lantern Festival. Mooncake promotions are ongoing at shopping malls, restaurants, eateries and even at Sushi King. You either find them just good for your taste-buds or too sweet or tasteless. You can D.I.Y too.

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the chinese calendar. This year it will be celebrated on 14th September 2008.

Debbie Teoh demonstrates how to make a flaky dough mooncake with salted egg filling and century egg centre.
