Kuih Keria

I am craving for these village doughnut named Kuih Keria in Malaysia. At the same time, I have a kilo more sweet potatoes from Cameron Highlands. I was browsing the internet and found this recipe with video and with a pretty host. Thanks Nyonya.

200gm Sweet Potato, boiled till soft
80gm wheat flour
Salt
200gm sugar
6 T water

Cut and boil sweet potatoes till soft
Transfer sweet potatoes onto plate n mashed it
Add a pinch of salt
Add wheat flour
Form into a dough
Roll longinal n join together
Fry them in hot oil.
When it floats its cooked
Check the colour
Sugar coating
Pour sugar on wok
Pour in water to dilute then sugar
Sugar will turn thick, off the flame
Put doughnut onto sugar mixture
Coat the doughout well.
